Mid-Maine Technical Center is a regional applied technology center approved by the State Board of Education and accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The School is located adjacent to Waterville High School in Waterville, Maine and offers 25 technical courses of study. Mr. Mark Powers has served as the Director of the Mid-Maine Technical Center since 1985. Mr. Powers has served on the Commission of Technical & Career Institutions with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, is a Past President of the Maine Association of Vocational Education Administrators, and has served on the Professional Executive Board for the Maine Principals Association. Mr. Powers has a Masters of Science Degree in Education, a Bachelors of Science Degree in Industrial Education, and a College Diploma in Electrical Construction Technology.

Mrs. Waite has been a secretary for Mid-Maine Tech for the past eighteen years. She is in charge of finance and works with the director. She is in charge of accounts, the budget, purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, grants, and payroll. Mrs. Waite has a achieved an Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies from Kennebec Valley Community College. Mrs. Waite is currently pursuing an English Degree from the University of Maine at Augusta. 

Student Services Coordinator: Peter Hallen Email: hallen@mmtc.ws

Mr. Peter Hallen is the Student Services Coordinator at Mid-Maine Tech. Mr. Hallen earned a Masters degree in Education and Counseling (1996) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English (1993) from Bridgewater State College. Mr. Hallen is currently in the CAS program for Educational Leadership at the University of Maine at Orono. Previously, Mr. Hallen was a Student Services Coordinator in the University of Maine system and Assistant Director in the student affairs department at Curry College in Massachusetts.


Mr. Hallen is responsible for Tech Center admissions, college and career programming, and counseling services. He is involved in advising the National Technical Honor Society and the SkillsUSA team and is a member of the Waterville Public School Design and Leadership Teams. He lives in Waterville with his wife, Lisa, guidance counselor at Lawrence High School, and two daughters, Madeleine (3) and Piper (1).

Mrs. Helen Bard duties include working with the Student Services Coordinator. She maintains students' attendance, grades, records, student data, field trip organization, driving permission, and student mailings. Before she worked with MMTC, she was a Administrative Supervisor at Central Maine Newspapers/Morning Sentinel for 21 years.
