Service Team Instructors

Bonnie Brown is MMTC’s Early Childhood Education Instructor.  She has a BS in Education and a MA in Special Education/Human Developments.  Ms. Brown’s related work experience includes 6 years as an early childhood educator.  She is currently adjunct faculty at KVCC and CMCC and is a SkillsUSA–VICA advisor.

Teacher: Chef Bill Robertson Email: robertson@mmtc.ws

Bill Robertson, Culinary Arts Instructor, is in his eighth year at MMTC.  Mr. Robertson is a National Restaurant Association "Serv-Safe" sanitation Certified Instructor and is a member of the American Culinary Federation.  He has a BA Degree from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine and an AOS Culinary Arts Degree from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NewYork.  Mr. Robertson’s related work experience includes production manager at Inland Hospital and Colby College and as Executive Chef at Sebasco Lodge.  Mr. Robertson is a SkillsUSA-VICA advisor to his students.

Chef Robertson recently completed the requirements for program certification with the
American Culinary Federation, making the Mid-Maine Technical Center Culinary Arts program
the only certified program in the State of Maine.

 

Teacher:  Kim Clark Email: clark@mmtc.ws

Kim Clark, Assistant Culinary Arts Instructor, is in her second year here at MMTC. Ms. Clark graduated in 2001 from Eastern Maine Community College with an AS. Degree in Culinary Arts, in 2005 she graduated from Husson College with her BS. Degree in Business Administration (Hospitality concentration).She is currently working on a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Technical Education. Ms. Clark is also certified in “SERV SAFE” Sanitation.

Ms. Clark’s work related experience includes cook at Husson College, cook at a nursing home facility, per diem cook at the Sebasticook Valley Hospital, small grocery store baker, and a cake baker/decorator.

Teacher: Josh Wheeler Email: wheeler@mmtc.ws

Mr. Wheeler is the instructor for the Emergency Services program at MMTC. He has a B.S. in Human Development with a minor in Psychology from the University of Maine, and is currently enrolled in a Master’s program at Thomas College. He is a licensed Emergency Medical Technician, trained at Eastern Maine Community College and has completed his EMT-Intermediate training at the Advanced Life Support Institute. He also holds his Firefighter I certification and has been trained at the National Fire Academy. Mr. Wheeler has been active in the field of public safety for over twelve years. He holds certification as an instructor for firefighting, emergency medical services, and several other public safety related disciplines. He is an active call Firefighter/EMT for Winthrop Fire Department and Ambulance Service. Also, he currently serves as a Police Officer and 911 dispatcher for Winthrop Police Department.

Mrs. Champagne is the Health Occupations instructor at Mid-Maine Technical Center. She has a B.S. Degree in Career and Technical Education and an associate's degree in nursing. Mrs. Champagne has thirteen years experience in the nursing field. She is an American Heart Assoc. certified BCLS Instructor. She is licensed by the Maine Bureau of Elder & Adult Services to teach the Personal Support Specialist training program.
